Whatsup guys..
This is gonna be a short post- sorry.. Sat here writing a HUGE post on summinn good and meaty and then... my computer shut off:(
The frustration! Ok... ya soo many of you have warned me but what is it they say about learning from your own mistakes:)
Don't worry guys, il catch up that post tomorrow!
The week has been one huge spin and as much as they tell me i shouldn't, i'm wishing the days away and praying for weekends to approach:)
Today was hectic but all was topped off well with a couple friends from school and myself heading to Frankies- Hillcrest. (we heard it was ladies night on a tuesday and everything was half price, with a free cocktail?)
Well.... ya...we looked like idiots as there wasn't any ladies evening and we moved on to BanKok Wok-Hillcrest. The evening was spent with five of us - Steph, Lindi, Bodene, Gill and myself haaving dinner and cocktails. My friend Bodene made quite a fuss as she 'could not' eat chinese food or Japanese food whatsoever ( considering we were at a Thai restaurant?)
So she kinda sulked and mooaned that we weren't spending the evening at Frankies, however overcame her morbid, attitudes as she realised noone of us really cared:)
She requested if she was able to order from Frankies and eat in the restaurant (some are fussy with this idea). The waitor was all cool about it and even served it on a plate for her and presented the bill to her as if it were his own order.
So he got like an overboard tip from us but Bodene really made us chuckle throughout the whole evening:)
Anyway, bankok wok's ladies evening was half price on any mainn meal and hlf price cocktails.
I ordered a Beach Garden Salad, which was spinach (appeeared like crisps and was crunchy), grilled calamari, one or two 'prawns' aand a little bit of veg. it was actually awesome. i wasn't so hungry sso it was a nice light, yet substantial salad. I then had a Cosmopolitan which was also amazing.
bodene wanted to go across to Frankies for a longer evenig, however the rest of us decided to keep it early, considering we had come straight from varsity and we were poked!!
So we kind of swayed her otherwise! Besides, Frankies was actually pretty quite.
Well.. gotta sleep now!

You're an FHM model???
Ok, ok so i been slacking off lately, but with good reasoning! Let me just say i been real...busy...
Before i beginn my weekend's itinerary, may i just warn you that my eyelids are hanging at my knees at the moment from tiredness and therefore this may have an effect on both my spelling and grammar.
Anyway, my weekend all began, meeting carla for an afternoon coffee, before getting ready to go to work. To cut a long story short, work was so so busy and the que only managed to die down at about 9:00pm. The reason why i told you that 'useless' piece of information is merely based on the fact that i had every intention of clocking out early and gracing Casablanca with my presence. Previously, before work, my evening 'plot' waas to escape work at about 8:30, giving me sufficient time to fly home aand make myself loook a little bit more approachable. The plan failed. Not the 'make-myself-look-a-little-bit-more-approachable-part' (hehe), but the plnn of getting out aat 8:30. Aaargh.. the people just kept on flocking through the doors! Aaargh..
tick tock...tick tock... As the second hand passes, so does the number of people. And of course, being the hostess, i get paid to be polite and smile at everyone (meantime, inside, i was cursing every onne of them- only kidding- i'm not that mean:)
Well, plans were made and rearranged in every possible way. Instead of having to drive down with my brother, it ended up being just girls-awesome.
Aaargh... eventually, we only ennded up arriving there at about 10:30pm (i think)
Anyway, casablanca was having a Millers party so it was pretty busy and the crowd there was awesome. Having not been at Casablanca for a while, it was a really cool evening, with majority of the crowd coming from Tiger! That's what made it so cool... ah... the goood old days of Tiger!
Anyway, having gone to the bathroom, this girl approached me and started chatting to me, providing me with tips on how to do hair etc.
"Darling, i'm an FHM model annd i work for FHM!"
I scann her up and down subtly....hesitate.... (Ok whatever) and reply..."is it?"
Anyway, she's trying to give me tips and talking about absolute rubbish!
How did i know she was lying? Well, her friend approaches both of us and says,
"My friend here works for Cosmopolitan!" So i just smile and say..."oh cool":)
Well, the music ws awesome so i decide to go listen to the beats and swing my hips to the rythem (kiddin). I was greeted by a lot of familiar faces annd generally the crowd was awesome! I even ran into one oof the guys i worked with at the A1 grand prix. What makes it so funny is that this guy absolutley adores himself and he can just sweep girls off their feet (and he knows it). I however have prior knoweldge about this fellowed boy because of my friend Teri. She tends to tell me his pick-up lines and his scheme of action. It's so amuzing watching him pick up a girl. Look, he's not that bad, but he aint anything amazing. He's actually a hillarious guy to be around! The evening in general was loads of fun and considering i haven't been there foor a while, i'll definately go back again soon.
Anyway.. moving on in the weekend, i woke up for an early visit at the pavilion( again)!
This time i hadn't walked away with any clothes or anything, except for a birthday present. This kind of shows a clear indication of how well i manage my money throughout the month!
Anyway, i ended up going to a birthday braai at abou two where i kind of met up with a lot of people i haadn'y seen in ages.
The evening, was spent mellow and the WHOLE of Sunday consisted of me working on an assignment for varsity which was so annoying!
So i'm off to bed, otherwise i'll never make it through tomoro!
Will keep you updated!

Going local...
Varsity turned out to be a taste like heaven yesterday as the hours were short and i managed to leave at like 12:15. Anyway, the first priority was to get my sound put into the car, so this onnly took about half an hour or so as, it was only the speakers that had to put in. I must say, Car Audio in Pinetown was so welcoming and helpful. I was seated with a cup of coffee and a magazine, giving me an opportunity to breath and unwind from two tripple lectures.
The car was finished before i had even finished my coffee.
After having stopped off at Tiffany's in kloof and purchasing a top and a bag, i mad my way home.
The evening was enjoyed with a few friends at Frankie Bananas in Hillcrest. Wednesday nights appears to be the pumping night and the evening by which one is able to identify every second person walking past. Overall the place was great, the vibe was awesome and the crowd was amazing.
We eventually ended up moving across to Scaramouch to see how the evening was kicking off there. I wasn't fanatical with the d.J or the music he was playing and eventually i was ready to call it an evening. We left the joint at about 12:30 so it wasn't too much of a late evening.
waking up this morning as a little more than challenging as i was running late for varsity. I only had like half an hour to get ready. (ya so i guess for males it's sufficient but females- a little challenging) Anyway, We had to do testing on a child with cerebral palsy today which was the greatest challenge of all, but such an eyeopener.
After having crashed on my bed after arriving back froom varsity, i crashed on my bed. I set my alarm as i had intentions of waking up, and giving me sufficient time to get ready. Again, i must've switched it off or something as i was running late for work. Againn i only had like half an hour to get ready.
Anyway.. sorry this is a little bit of a bore and the content is noot very intriguiging but at the moment my mind is not co operating due to lack of sleep.
I will post abetter blog soon tho.
Tomorrow i should be going to casablanca which is to be really cool!

On the road again...
Another day and time just feels like it's flying way over my head sometimes!
It's funny though how the weekdays usually drag on, yet the weekends become oblivious to us.
Well, im writing this as the clock ticks further and further, to time wasted where i should be in bed now, preparing myself for another fully loaded day at varsity. Instead i resort to my burning desires of having to write in my blog for the evening, so bare with me if this post may appear to be full of grammar or spelling errors. (kev i suggest you avoid reading just this post as this may result in the following side affects such as frustration or innapropriate behaviour or language on your behalf:)
Moving on.. I think i've finally come to the conclusion that because Splashy has always been pushed aside at the back of my mind for the last how many years, it's time for me to bring that mouldy and dusty idea right out of the cupboard again and actually contemplate goin. So this is it.. i think i'm going. I was suppose to do promotions there but i've thought otherwise.
Today consisted of a rather different day. Our prac was to visit the Fulton School for the Deaf in Hillcrest, for one of our lectures. It was a real eye opener for me but i'm not going to go much further into that as i've had to have written reports etc. and i don't see any reason as to why i would regurgitate this information and experiences back to you, unless you would request for me to. But overall.. it's amazing to see how this school differs fropm any other school in the way they communicate etc.
Having arrived back at the Westville campus it was time for me to depart to our speech clinic at the William clarke's children''s home. By the end of the session, i was buggard for the day!
Now i sit here writing reports until it comes out of my ears. But never fear as tomorrow looks like a more promising day and i think we'll be finishing varsity at 12:30
Fpor now i have to say fairwell and i'l chat again tomorrow. Sorry for the short post but il make it up to you guys!

You're Jonothan, right???
ok.. so my cut off for the weekennd posts was Friday evening at the very well known local jol Scaramouch... boo ha ha... what an enjoyable evening!
Moving on... Saterday has now become a ritual with my mother and myself, it appears. Pavillion has become the new destination. However instead of being the usual casual shopper whereby one would merely slip in and out of the shops, we tend to differ. Having arrived at 9:30 and only leaving at 3:45, we must've become recognizable to many of the shop owners and shoppers flooding through the doors like vultures on a feeding ground.
After the hustle and bustle of the crowds and having everybody eye the top in your hand, thinking it would look better on them, i managed to slip away with two tops, a dress and a ring.
This choice of clothing was to my surprise, as many of you may know that i hardly wear any dresses, however having tried it on, i managed to fall in love at first sight.
Anyway.. after arriving home from the Pavillion, it was time for me to get ready for a 21st.
Keeping in mind i had no idea who this guy was, i tried to dress appropriately and not look like a prostitute being dragged out of a bush backwards. Not that i ever do. I hope.
Roxy made a request that i join her for the 21st as she only knew Jonothan (the guy that turned 21). So of course i approved of her suggestion and made an appearance. It turned out to be a really amazing evening and i managed to meet a really awesome crowd of people.
After having hugged and kissed everyone goodbye, we hopped into the car and headed for Lazy Lizzard- Hillcrest.
We arrived at Lazy's after twelve and again, the crowd was most appealing. The atmosphere was awesome and the music pumping upstairs attracted us. The music mainly consisted of trance, which was different to my general taste in music, however i managed to adapt to the variations and have a good time. It was awesome to greet a number of regulars annd d.j's at Lazy's and made the evening overall fun.
We eventually ended up leaving at roughly 2:00am and man, were we overboard tired!
After having trying to direct my way to the door (due too lack of light) i managed to crash on my bed and fall in a state of deep sleep.
Sunday was a generally lazy day which was awesome as i havenn't had any of these Sunday's since i started varsity.
Today was another Monday i wasn't ready to tackle, due to my lack of sleep or motivation.
The hours were long and the lectures were too mentally stimulating for my own good.
I think i've only worn my hearing aid once and it's suppose to be handed back on Wednesday. By then, we're suppose to have a general view of what it's like to be in the shoes of a deaf person.
Im gonna have to wear it a hell of a lot these nex two days!
Anyway.. i managed to go to spinning tonight and round off the session with a bit of the circuit.
Anyway.. i'm in deep contemplation as to whether or not Splashy will be the next destination for my April holidays? To be honest with you, i was so keen but i've lost a little bit of interest and motivation. Maybe i'm a little too comfortable with my clean shower and hairstraightner:)
I dunno guys... what do you think? Should i go or shouldn't i?
Gimme some input please!
For now i'm gonna run before i fall asleep before i even start varsity work:(
Hope to hear from you guys!

A kiss or two...
Hey whatsup!
Ok so today proceeded with me rolling out of bed, and cleaning up after the puppy. Man what it is to be a mother:) It certainly felt like it...
Moving on. The first lecture took place at 11:25. As always, we appeared to be alittle late for lecture. They honestly cannot expect us to be there at sparrows fart!
the lecture proceeded with a video, of which became my invitation to take a quick nap. Or at least i tried! It was terrible having to keep my eyes open, once the lights were dimmed.
Ever sat through one of those REALLY REALLY boring church sermons before where your eyelids are hanging at your knees? (No disrespect, but i'm sure many of you may jhave experienced this)
Escaping varsity and fleeing passed the security gates became a pathway to heaven!
Before i knew it, it was time for me to head for work. After having fetched the dogs from chasing the poor postman, i climbed into the car and rocked up at work. Work was an overall bore but what the hell...
Scaramouch was next. Roxy and i headed off there at about 10:00, where we first indulged in a Savannah with a slice of lemon. After scanning the place and slapping on the makeup, the beats of the music were calling us to dance.
Throwing our hands up in the air and singing to the words of the song (and watching those who mimed the words they don't really know) made the evening fly by.
We met up with an old friend and his brother. The whole evening consisted of us dancing and leaping across the dance floor with them and being thrown to the other side of the dance floor, making us look like pros:) We were really cool... Only kidding:)
Anyway, it just so happened that i ended up dancing with our friend and Roxy with the brother.
It was all outta innocence, as we've known each other for a while. Well, that's what i thought.
At least i know i've kinda stuck to my word in the previous posts.
This friend tried to kiss me three times. What happened? Well ya.. i wasn't really up for it hey...
Not cause i wasn't really keen for him anything but as i mentioned in previous posts, i won't just kiss someone spontaneously in that sort of environment. Ok so obviously i'm gonna have my exceptions, but it just wasn't goonna happen tonight. He was cool about it though as i think he eventually realised and after that it was jcool to just dance and jol together.. Anyway, he walked me to my car and said our fairwells. But, i'm really not keen hey. He's just a friend and i think knowing him as just that makes it kinda weird.
That's my news for today my friends! Im really really really hoping to go to the rugby tomorrow Sharks vs Crusaders. I doo have a 21st after that though so i'll let you know what my plans are and how everything went!
Take care friendly bloggers*

I'm Deaf.....It's contagious!!
Whatsup ya'll!
Sorry, i been kinda slack with regards to blog updates but at the moment, this is the last thing on my mind.
Varsity's been so hectic with work and prac, however i'm starting to really enjoy the coarse. I know you should have started deciding whether or not the course is for you in like the first year, but let's just that i'm a little delayed:)Ido however still get my days, where i'm sitting on a fence and things would seem so much easier if i had to just pull out.
Moving on, i ended up at a children's school for the deaf. The school is positioned the other side of Bothas hill. Usually the varsity would provide lifts because we never know where half the places were. I do however think i will resort to taking my own car considering i had to drive to Westville, back, through Botha's Hill, back too Westville again and then baack to Kloof.
Wow, i'm not even going to explain to you how different it is being in the actual environment.
As much as i'd love to tell you what i did on the visit, it's a little complicated and boring if i had to even make an attempt! Anyway, a lot of it was interacting with the children and seeing how the classroom settings differed from that in other schools. These are children who are postlingually deaf (they only acquired language after they had access to hearing -such as a hearing aid). It is therefore difficult to communucate with them unless you had a fair knowledge of sign language. This module is only taken after the June holidays though. Well, i know the sign language alphabet so i managed to communicate a little with that and i appeared to get the messages through. on that note, it's amazing how well mannered tey were in comparison to children presenting with normal hearing. Everyone you walked past would smile and greet (either gestures or orally).
It facinates me to see how people respond or react to those who are either deaf or have a hearing problem. The hearing aid is suppose to aid one's hearing! Many people think that when an individual is wearing a hearing aid, they now cannot hear or the popular belief that they are cognitively impaired- which they are not (obviously there are exceptions). Well it's going to be interesting to see how the people of Kloof are going to respond, seeing me wear a hearing aid. many of my colleages have informed me that they cannot believe the reactionsthey get from others. The one girl took er hearing aid to the a1-Grand Prix and apparently she heard the girl say "She's lucky, she's deaf"
Another one was spoken to as if she was cognitively impaired. Will let you know of any remarks i get, if any:)
Anyway, yesterday i was assigned a hearing aid, of which i have to wear for a full week.
This provides us with a little exposure to the experiences of being deaf or 'hard of hearing'.
Man, it's so annoying! Something as small as the clanging of cutlery makes you want to whip the aid out of your ear!
Anyway.. swifting the topic a little. About eight loud bangs were what woke us up at 3:10am last night (Wednesday).
Eventually the whole neighborhood became an audience of these loud sounds!
Turns out, one of the neighbors from across the road was broken into and the owners actually caught the guy. Within 10minutes, the sirens were blazing through the streets.
I don't know the whole story but you craap yourself at the time. it almost sounded as if three consecutive shots went off, with a couple minutes wait and so went off again. So we picked up the phone, leaving lights off, dialing the cops to report the problem.
So apparently the male intruder failed at his attempts and was shot numerous times!
Which leads to....us getting a new puppy:)
My dad walks into the house, with a six week old Rotweiler puppy (excuse spelling)
So it looks like there's gonna be a lot more on my hands now!
Anyway... sorry this wasn't much of a constructive blog, but i'l definatley keep you updated!
For now im gonna run as i'm BUGGARD!
Cheers*
